That is just really sad that she killed herself over that. One the other kids should be in trouble because of spreading the pics all over. Then I feel really bad for the parents because now they have to deal with having no daughter all because of the pics. Then the next thats not the way to get a guy to notice you she should of just tired and talked to him. That sucks two teens killing themselfs over that.
I think the girl shouldnt of done that u dont half to do that to get a guys attention. She shouldnt of done that girls just make themselves look bad when they do that. We could stop it by telling every young kid wat could happen if they do.

The Hope should of never ever sent those exposing text messages because she was not only going to get attention from the boy but from the whole school and eventually from the police! In my opinion she should have known NOT to do that because who would want to show there body to anyone, especially from school. She should have been educated that, that is illegal and wrong!
Why did you do that Hope? I feel really bad about what Hope did and what she had to go through. But why did she do it? I wished that Hope had talked to her parents first before doing any of this. Now i know what "sexting" can do to you when it gets out of hand and its not to pretty. Also i learned that it can bring pressure to you and make you feel bad about yourself and can led someone just like it led Hope to commit suicide. Never get caught up in a situation like this because you might just become your own victum and might end up like Hope was feeling.
Well, that's a shocker. I never thought someone would make fun of someone for the rest of their life. I can understand people calling her names and things for a couple of days but never for that long. That really makes me upset that someone would taunt them like that. That was my oppinion of this incident.
What Hope did in the frist place was totally wrong. She went too far and what the audience and the school student did were worse. They bullied her and eventully made her kill herself. Her parents should've been more involved in her life after this took place and her counselours also should've reported her peculiar behavior to them. I hope no one in the future does this again.
This is a really sad. Because she killed herself over some pictures.But this is really bad for her parents.They have to live with no daughter for the rest of there lives.The kids are suppost to bury the parents.Not the other way around.
You would never think that somebody would kill themselves over this. But they have , and its really sad because the girl lost her life not only because of what she did but what other people said. I could see them making fun of her for a few days,but for that long? Wow,I hope this teaches younger kids a lesson.
I think what Hope did was really bad. You definetly do not have to send exposing text messages of yourself to get a guys attention. I also think what the kids at her school did was really upseting. The worst part is, is that she could'nt handle it anymore so she had to kill herself and she was so young.
This is very sad to read about. Thats something very wrong to do. And its really sad that she couldnt take the humilliation any more so she had to kill herself from it. Sexting is not only illegal but an unwise desision. Its terrible that now her family doesnt have a daughter because of pictures.
I think that this girl didn’t need to attract a boy’s attention through sexting. It’s very sad, that she would hang herself due to the bullying from her peers. I feel very bad for the girl’s parents, who had to deal with the loss of their daughter.
Hello I just think that it is really terrible for hope. I do understand why she did it because she was being sexted. I bet that her family must feel heart broken because that was daughter. That is not good for a girl to reveal pics to impress guys.

It warself over thats really stupid to kill yourself. if pictures are being sent, the school will find out and the kid that sent them will get in trouble.
I think this story was really sad.But i don't think the girl should've gone that far to kill herself. I understand it's embrassaing to have to see people at school. Who know everything of what's going but all you have to do is learn from your mistakes.
I think that the girl was not smart because she sent pictures of herself in a bad way... It is all her fault, although she should of not of killed herself.Another thing that makes me mad is that the boys would forward the pictures.
This is a very sad story. I think that Hope should have never sent the picture to the boy. I know she wanted to get attention from the boy but she was going to get attention from the school too. I feel very sad for the parents. It makes me really upset when people make of her. Since she was getting bullied so much at the school, I think she should have transfered to a different school.
Its really sorta sad that some kids text explicit pics to other kids just to get their attention. I feel bad for the kids that do that because once you send a pic like that to someone they like, one false move and the whole school and neighborhood sees the pics. Also, when a person receives a pic like that, if they're caught with that pic, they'll be sent to jail and other things.

This was very surprising to me. I would of never had thought that the girls would commit suicide over the incident. the people who taunted or annoyed them for that long is very immature, and they should of had stopped and give the girls a second chance.
This was horrible! Firstly how stupid can you be to send nude pictures of yourself via technology, they can obviously be saved and forwarded. If its that urgent you might as well show them in person. Even though she made a mistake it was so wrong for let alone her classmates, but her friends to harras her. Hadn't she suffered enough! I really don't know what we can really do about this except more assemblies or cancel picture messaging from phones. This shows how one little mistake can ruin your life.
First off that is the dumbest thing that i think yu would do. Killing yourself is definatly not the way to go out, especially over that. i htink that its kinda sad that the pictures got out like that and the kids started to make fun of her. Its not really her fault but she was definatly dumb to kill herself, but i still blame the kids who made fun of her.

It also shows that you have no self respect for yourself. I feel very bad for the parents because they thought they were helping her daughter with her problems, but instead she killed herself. What I think about this whole situation is wow. First of all you shouldn't send picture's of yourself like that to get any guy's attention, If they don't like you for the person you really then oh well. I just think it's crazy how the whole thing went to extreme's. That guy was real immature about it, And for that little stupid move he did, he has to live with some kind of guilt that he caused somebody to suicide.
I think the suicide with this teen is really sad. She made a mistake but instead of talking to her parents about it she killed herself. It could have gotten resolved by her parents moving away and her never having to be with those kids that made fun of her. That vacumes that she took her life over a mistake
First of all, id like to say this is very sad. i mean i dont have pity for her, only because suicide is dumb. and should never be the answer. she had so many other choices. i think we can learn that sexting in not something teens should do, and its deffinetly not the way to get a guy. im glad that this school teaches what not to do.
I read this Article before you assigned this and that was the most poor decision i think shes ever made. Sexting is a new trend i dont think it should be against the law because its a free will to do what you want with your body and It should'nt be the person who received it and sent it's fault. Even though she thought she was going through the worst time of her life, she really shouldnt of done that. She should of ignored the comments or just go to another school, but the first thing she shouldntt have done was send a picture of herself like that just to get attention. She should have known better than to do something like that.
I think it is really sad that a girl killed her self over a picture. Its kind of her fault because she sent the text to a random boy then he sent it every person. The girl got a chance to get transfered to a different school. I think that is really sad.
I first want to say that I am so, so sorry that these young teenagers had to go through that horible expirience. Also I want to say that those people are so rude and mean, They had no idea that they were a cause of future death. I cant believe that they could even say or even physical hurt these poor girls. It is so sad that Hope hung herself over, not to be mean, but her own mistake. She really shouldn't have sexted but its also the boy's fault because he forwarded it. I didnt know kids could be so mean and taut her for that for so long. I feel so bad for her parents. That school counselor should have said something because don't they have to tell the parents if they know something illegal or life-threatening? Anyways that is really sad.
Hope was wrong to send naked pictures of herself to a boy. If you have to do that to get a boy’s attention, he’s not worth it. But Hope was a good kid and everybody makes mistakes. The kids at school shouldn’t have called her names either, because what she did is none of their business. What we can learn from this is that once you send something over the Internet or through a text message, it’s out there and anyone can see it.

I think that this is something no one should do. I dont think over that you should kill ur self. She had her hole life ahead of her. She could have switched schools but i dont think she should have killed urself.

After reading the artical i thought the school bord should have told the parents that she was emonaly depress and had to go see someone about it but insted they put her under contract and still didnt tell the parents. And now they have to deal with a lost of their only daughter because of the pics.

The story of Hope was very sad. I think we can all admit that sexting is wrong and sending nude pictures isn't the way to get attention. That's going too far for a person who's not worth it. You can tell he's not because he fowarded it to everybody. In a way it was her own fault, but it's only human nature to make mistakes. Unfortunatly, it meant she felt insecure and probably should have told her parents awhile back. The kids in and out of school can be cruel, just like these kids, so I can only "Hope" that the lesson is passed down to all of us feeling the way we do.

I think this girl shouldent have took her life over that. If she told someone it could have all been resolved. But then again she shouldent have sent nude pitures of herself just to get attention.It just makes me feel really bad for the girl who took her life
No one should ever think that sexting is the way to get a guy or a girl. If you do send nude pictures to someone, you are disrespecting yourself and your body. I think that Hope should have transferred schools if the bullying got to a point where she felt suicidal. I am sorry for her parents' loss.
Well first my opinion is she shouldnt have sent the pictures. I also think killing her shelf was maybe taking it a little to far. Also the people who sent them are just plain rude and they should all blaim themshelf.Its sad that two young girls with a life ahead of them now gone because of this stupid "sexting"
I hate reading stories like this because it is always the same, tragic ending. One stupid mistake and they chose to take their life.
I feel so bad for the parents, mostly because they had absolutely no idea what was going on or what 'sexting' was/is. The parents probably think it’s their fault because they didn't talk to Hope about it.
I think committing suicide was such a stupid decision. This poor girl didn't deserve to die. If only she had thought of the consequences of sending a picture of herself. Was there no other way to get the boys attention? Although it was a stupid decision, I do not think anyone should have called her names. She would most likely still be living right now if the boys and girls at her school and other schools weren’t calling her names. That was probably such a huge factor in what made her commit suicide.
I think we all know there is nothing we can do that can ensure this will never happen again. Of course, someone will make the same mistake. It’s bound to happen. However, parents need to talk to their kids about this. Make sure they know how serious this is. It isn't just some game that will disappear as soon as they realize it was a bad choice. Did she seriously not think for a second that the boy she sent the image to wouldn’t send it to his friends? I mean, c’mon, really. The worst part of this whole situation is that it wasn’t even the boy she liked that forwarded the picture...It was one of his friends that was looking at his phone. Who knows, maybe he would have deleted the picture and not have sent it.
It is so sad to hear about a young girl who hasn't even lived most of her life yet took it from herself. We all make mistakes but there are other ways of handling it. Every parent should be closer to what their child is doing on their phone. If I could I would never let this happen again.
This is all her fault. i know this may sound mean, but it's true. first of all, if you want to get a boy's attention, then you don't sext them, you talk to them. if she took any of her time reading reports on sexting, she'd realize that EVERY single time it gets out of hand. she probobly thought, "this won't happen to me. i'm diffrent." but she's wrong. i feel no sympathy for a dead girl who sexted.
Well im not gana say its the girls fault or the people who sent it. Theres more then one side to this story but if the guy who got the picture just deleated it all of that mostlikely of happined. The guy could have just told the girl he dident like her or the girl should have showed him in person not over the phone. It's sad that people kill themselfs because of that. :(

I think that it is really sad that she killed herself over one simple mistake. although it was a big mistake to take an topless picture and send it to a boy just to get his attention.I don't think that a girl should have to do that to get someone attracted to you. Anyway i think it was really sad and by telling people how big of a deal it is then teens would be less likely to do it.
I think that "sexting" is stupid. That's not the way to get a guy's attention. Girls should not be doing this because it usually gets out of hand. Also, suicide is never the solution to any problems.
Wow this really must be a hard time for hope's parents. It must be really tough to lose a daughter.I know what it feels like to lose someone you love. Really hurts. I hope that they get through her death. Hope should have talk to someone before she sent those nude pictures to that boy. I think that Hope should have thought twice about what she was about to do. At least she should have thought of the consequences. i think that its really sad that she was sad enough to kill herself over that. Also it was wrong of the boyfriend to send the pictures to everybody. Even though it is very sad it is partly the girls fault because is she cared that much about it she shouldn't have given it to him in the first place. And the boy deserves to be punished for doing something like that it was wrong and mean.
