Welcome to Blogging!

We will be using this blog as another way to communicate with eachother... kind of like a writing journal.  You will be asked to read my posts and add your comments.  Feel free to read the comments your classmates have left. 

Even though we are on the internet, in this arena you must still use the conventions of good writing in your comments. That means no IM language, use capitals & proper punctuation and check your spelling. Before you publish your comment, you will be asked to Choose an Identity. I want you to select______________! If these requirements are not met, you will not earn points for your posting!

Let's start right now and ease into it. Write about your first impression of 8th grade and what your goals are for this year.  Whatever you write about, try to give us a visual picture with your words so that we can clearly see your descriptions!

Blogging is back... you're welcome!

Let's get right into it.  FCAT's over, you're getting your HS registration forms VERY soon, field trips abound, field day is near and Summer is about 9 weeks away... this is a great time to be an 8th grader!

Write about what you are looking forward to the MOST in high school.

Going through blog withdrawls?

So, you miss blogging, huh?  Never fear, we'll blog again in the 4th quarter!  In the meantime, I'll leave this post open for you.  These comments will post directly to the blog as I won't be checking them weekly.  Keep in mind, I will get an email whenever someone posts, so keep it clean folks.

Happy New Year!

It's 2010!  It's a new year and a new decade.  It's the time of year when a lot of people take a step back and evaluate their lives.  They set up goals or resolutions for themselves to have a better, happier, healthier and more successful year.  Some of you and your families may have already made some resolutions.  If you haven't, take a few moments to think about the things in your life you'd like to change or improve.  Ask yourself what you can do to make 2010 a better year.

Take a look at this link.  There's a cute video that illustrates the point that many of us go through life making the same mistakes with the same results, yet we do not change!  There are also some tips on setting goals.  Of course, the guy who made the website is trying to sell something (probably his New Year's resolution to make some money in 2010!), but ignore that part.
