The picture that fascinated me the most was the one where the dogs were pushing the guy on the bike. It fascinated me becuase the dogs were pushing him in the big heavy dirt. That must take alot of energy from the dogs to do that. Also the dogs were getting dirty and it was hard for them too run and they still were. The dogs were very strong to do that.

The first picture that effects me the most is how cool that picture was of the house with stars above it.I think that was pretty cool i wish that would be above my house.Another picture that effects me a litttle bit is that big wave next to the lighthouse. That wave was pretty big and love stuff that has something to do with water.

The picture that most influenced me was the photo of the kids from Bangladesh. They had dirt all over their faces from all the hard work they had to do. It was very sad looking at those poor kids faces. I’m thankful that I will never have to do something like that in my lifetime.

Messages on the Wind (photo 10) caught my eye from the minute I saw it. I liked this photo because of the colors the artist used in it. It made the picture "pop", and attract attention to it. I didnt really like Philippines massacre (photo 5) because it was gross how they covered the dead body with a leaf. And those were the pictures that caught my eye.

Kristin G- P4 said...

The pictures that caught my eye the most were picture, 1 , 7 and 13. I like picture 1 ( And The Heavens Twinkled ) because I like all the pretty stars that you see really well, and I love all the mountians in the background. I also like picture 7 ( Wave of dread ) because I thought it was really cool! I like how it remind me of a Tsunami and how it's going over a lighthouse. Last, I liked picture 13 ( Ouch! ) When I first saw the picture I laughed! and I think that is what caught my eye a little boy crying over a shot. I found it really funny and that is why I like it.

I really liked the first picture because it was of stars and I love stars with a passion, It was a really beautiful picture I loved it soo much, i acutually want to put it on my myspace (:

The picture that had most effect on me was the phillipnes murder picture. It was a terrible sight just because of a rival clan. These things shouldn't happen because elections. So as you see the world needs to learn violence doesn't solve everything.

These 12 pictures fell into one of four categories: amazing, disturbing, saddening, and kind of joyful in a quirky sort of way. I think my favorite picture would have to be And the heavens twinkled, showing a star filled night sky. This picture was beautiful, I especially loved the small log cabin at the bottom of the pic. I also liked mush? showing a man on a bike being pulled by two dogs, probably huskies. This picture is comical and lighthearted, also the black and white dog on the left looks very focused, very nice to look at too. And lastly I liked, though this may seem odd, wave of dread showing a lighthouse looking structure being hit by a massive wave. I think it was very dramatic and showed mother nature at her worst, yet it was also an amazing picture.

The picture that i liked was the message through the wind.Because you can write things and send it to people in heaven.Like if some one past away you can write about them then tie it to the ballon and send it. That really facinates me.

So, I looked at all the photos and found the ones that interested me most were photos numbered 1,2,5,7 and 10. Photo number one is my absolute favorite. I think it's a really nice photo and I love the stars! It's almost like you can see a shape in them and the background mountains are beautiful. They remind me of the one's I saw back in Argentina- the nicest place in the world! Photo 2 is cute and reminds me of when my sister and I were little. We climed on so many weird statues! Photo 5 is scary, but I like it because it makes you think a lot about things. Photo 7 is almost as amazing as Photo 1. I dont like water but the wave matches the sky perfectly and frames the buoy just right. Last but not least, Photo 15reminds me of when of one of my favorite movies- UP! It's adorable and the Photo just makes me feel happy:)

the pictures that had the most affect on me were the stars all behind the house and all the geese. the reason why i liked these pictures was because i like birds a real lot and i think all the stars is a realy nise sight to see if i lived there i would always be amazed.i realy liked the pictures accept for the massacre i thought that was sad that someone one kill 60 people!!!!!. outher than that i liked it.

Spencer P P2 said...

The picture that I liked the most was "And the heavens twinkled". Just by looking at it I feel very calm and satisfied. It's fascinating to look at because of all the stars in the sky can form an image ( for me it did when I looked at it in depth). Also the location of where the picture was taken looks very peaceful and country-like where there aren't many disturbances. It looks like a good place to live, especially looking up in the sky every night and seeing all of the stars just sparkle in the distance, but when you feel like you are so close you can just touch them.

Kathryn Kotecki per.1 said...

I enjoyed the swan lake that was pretty cool, the one I did not like at all was the man in the bear's mouth that was disturbing, and the author even warned me ... I also Liked the Mush? one that is cool how the dogs are pulling the man on his bike.. and the huskies were so adorable... Another one that I did not like was the picture OUCH!... I can't look at anyone in pain ... And I agree with the little kids shots hurt.

Sam Dean p2 said...

I was "fascinated" by "and the heavens twinkled" picture. I thought this picture was neat. I also was amused by the "bloody brush with death" picture because at first I thought it was fake. The won I "hated" was "working overtime", I thought this was a boring picture.

Mrs. Santana said...

I am so pleased with the great writing I get to read this week! It looks like you are really looking at these pictures, describing which ones interest you and giving vivid details to support your ideas. Awesome!!

Mrs. Santana said...

PS - It's hard for me to pick a favorite photo; I like the one with the starry sky, the lighthouse and the balloons. The kids in the cat's mouth are adorable. Most of all, I love how clear and detailed the photos are. Those cameras must've cost a fortune! Maybe I'll be a photographer when I grow up!

AnthonyM p5 said...

My favorite photo I would have to say is the one where the kids are in the cat because I think that it is kind of cute . The reason I think that is because they are kids having a good time. To be honest the cat was a really cool. The final reason i think I like the second picture is because I really love it because it shows kids how to have fun.

Christa B-P2 said...

Those pictures were astonishing! The picture that stood out the most to me was "Barely Surviving". It made me think about everything I have. These poor kids are in a huge dump searching for recyclable materials just to survive. This picture reminds me not take things for granted because there are children in other countries that would kill for what I have.
I liked "Digital Moment" because the little girl reminded me of myself. I would be doing the same exact thing. I love how it’s all snowy! The bighorn sheep looks like it was put into the picture. It's so random, but I like it.
I loved "Wave of Dread". I thought it was an amazing picture! I think the lighthouse behind the wave is so adorable. However, the fact that villages are being destroyed is not good. Also, great surf…
I did not like “Bloody brush with death”. Not because it was gross, but because they shot the bear because a man threw himself into a bear cage. Why did they have to shoot the bear? Couldn’t they have just tranquilized the bear? It wasn’t the bears fault. If you were lost in the woods and starving and a squirrel jumped into your fire, wouldn’t you eat it? It is the same concept with the bear. Don’t get me wrong, I feel bad for the guy, but still, they had to kill the bear? Sounds a little unfair to me!
:)

VictoriaC. per-4 said...

They all fascinated me. I think the heavens one was awesome, because that shows god's creation. I did not like the capture the moment one, i thought that was boring. I also liked the one with the "police line don't cross." I thought that was pretty funny:)! So, i voted for the heavens one, the police line one, and the lighthouse one.

Rachel B. per. 1 said...

I liked number 8, the one in which the man was attacked by the bear. This may seem disturbing, but I found it very interesting how a bear attacked him for no reason. I laughed at number 2, the one with the kids inside of the kitty mouth, because it was cute. I thoroughly enjoyed one with the wave, it was thrilling.

selenaR per4 said...

The picture that I liked the most is the one with the boy that is gitting a shot and screaming. The reason why I like it is because i want to be a doctor. Also parents and the doctors that give you shots dont know how much it hurts. nd they always have a smile on their face while we are screaming or crying in pain!!! Its just wrong!! haha

Shawn G PD-2 said...

Picture 8 probably effected me the most (picture 8 was the one with the bear). It effected me the most because i don't the bear should have been shot and killed. He didn't deserve it and i think you had it coming for you if you jumped in the enclosure with the bear in the first place.

Blake M p.3 said...

My two favorite pictures were the starry sky and the kids in the cats mouth. They bring so many memories back to me. I laughed at that kid screaming from the shot. Another picture i liked was the man on his bike being pulled by dogs. I'd love to go do that except on my longboard not a bike.

Lexis. R / P.4 said...

I liked the photo of the dog's pulling the man on the bike and the first picture with the star's, i thought it was pretty cool. What shocked me was the man in the bear's mouth, that was crazy. And what i really did'nt like was the massacure that happend, i don't like death or hearing of people dieing. But yeah, i can definetly relate to the shot's when i was younger, everybody could hear me screaming in the doctor's office, but they don't hurt for me anymore. : )

Noah H. P.1 said...

The picture that caught my eye the most was the "wave of dread" picture. The reason why it caught my eye the most is because storms like that dont come around everyday. Also, its suprises me that a storm like that could even happen.

GrantF.Per4 said...

The picture that effects me most is the Bloody brush with death one. The one with the bear it effects me because it amuses me how Grown Adults jump into pens with giant killing animals i mean how stupid can u get? The one i liked the most was the OUCH! one because the child is screaming in pain and the dad holding the child is laughing. That cracked me up, The one i didnt like was the ONe with the kids in the stuffed animal thing that didnt make any sense at all.

ShelbyHodges P2 said...

My favorite image was image ten. Image ten was the one with the balloons going into the sky. It was inspiring because it was very vibrant. I like vibrant things because I like to be colorful (:

Christina A pd.2 said...

The picture that disgusted me the most was the "Barely Surviving”. I hate how children around the world, like the one shown in Gauhati, India, still have to labor for the necessities of them and their family. It shows how bad some conditions can be. I don't like how the kids are joined in the labor and not enjoying their youth. Good thing, UN adopted the treaty guaranteeing children's rights.

bryan j. p.5 said...

I like the picture of the bloody man in the bear's mouth. That is pretty fascinating.I also like the picture of the stars that are above that house that picture it groovy!

Majeda M. P2 said...

The pictures that affected me the most were “Awhirl in Mecca” because I am a Muslim too and when I was four I went there. So it reminded me of the past. The other one that was affective was “Child’s play for child workers” because well, both my parents are from Bangladesh so I am Bengali and we stayed there for four years, so I witnessed stuff like that firsthand, but most of the things weren’t like that bad. There were lots of fun parts then bad parts.

RobertW Period 1 said...

All the images had some differences. First of all the got getting attacked by a bear. Why didn't the person taking the picture help him? Another one was the smoke stacks If that keeps on happening then the O-Zone layer might open up and everyone could die.

Connor B. Per-4 said...

The picture that affected me the most was the picture with the bear. I can only imagine the pain the man had to go through. He's lucky that the police could shoot the bear before the bear killed the man. I hope something like that never happens to me.

David S Per2 said...

I liked the Ouch! picture because that's what I looked like when I had shots when I was younger. It doesn't really disturb me though, because shots may seem scary and all, but they're not as bad as they look.

Mitchell O. P.3 said...

The pictures that I liked were the one were the girl is taking a picture of the bighorn sheep. Because I used to do that with my family when we went on road trips. The one that got me sad was the picture of the little kid was working in dust and was really skinny. I would hate to be like one of those children

HaleyF.p5 said...

The photo that i rally love is "And The Heavens Twinkled" because of how all the gorgeous stars above the home are well..just so gorgeous and it totaly reminds me of the outdoors in the country cause you feel so free and its gorgous with the looks and surrondings which is what makes the picture look better! The picture looks like art! [:

troyIp.3 said...

The picture that fascinated me the most is the man getting bit by that huge bear. How did he possibly live from that i guess horrible incident. The picture i hated was that person in the trash picking up things that he was going to use the things to eat or something. The funny picture of the day is when the kid was getting a shot and he was screaming like a little baby that got its bottle taken away.

Keden R p1 said...

The picture that effected me most was the first one with the cabin or house under the stars. Space really is amazing and the people who have that have that house are really lucky, im jealos, i want it, it's amazing that vue of the stars, all those stars it's just crazy. Ther has to be life out there.

CaseyMp5 said...

My favorite picture was the Awhirl in Mecca because of its swirling colors. It is probally one of the coolest pictures i have ever seen. It confuses me to because when you look at it for a while you start to get dizzy. I also wonder why everyone is standing nere it.

Ali H P3 said...

I like the 7th picture because its a beautiful wave for us but it would suck to be the guys in the lighthouse. The wave has to be over at least 20 feet its huge. The lighthouse must have been detroyed after it got hit by that wave

Summer Auld per.4 said...

“And the heavens twinkled” was my favorite picture because I really like stars and you don’t really get to see them that much anymore. I also just found the picture very relaxing to look a wished I was there.

Ryan O-Per. 4 said...

The picture i liked the most was "And the heavens twinkled". Because of how we may really see the heavans of life above the man/woman house. To me from seeing that picture i say that person went to hevan. also when you look at it it looks like an "H"that means heaven.

michael a period3 said...

the picture that most effected me is when the two boys were covered in sand. it wa sad when the boys had to work and make balloons at the age of eigth. it also shows that some of them dont ven have any food. now i think that one day i will help them when ever get the time to do it.

Austin S. P.2 said...

I really thought that all of the pictures effected me. If I had to choose only a few though, it would be And the heavens twinkled, Wave of dread and A mouthful. I chose And the heavens twinkled because I thought the picture was very neat and really showed how big of a universe we live in. I chose Wave of dread because the picture shows how much power nature can have and how strong waves really are. Last but not least I chose A mouthful because I love cats and think the picture is funny.

I was extremely facinated by the Milky Way galaxy photo. It is just absolutly amazing on how clear the photos were. I was mainly interested because i love space for one, and two I didn't know it was possible for the Milky Way to be able to see from earth itself.

JoNatHoN.L PeR5 said...

i thought to pictures where very real and true. the two pictures i thought where the one with the bear and the human hand. because people die everyday and it is a very harsh reality that we all have to face whether it be death from another man, or mother nature

SamanthaP Pd.5 said...

The two pictures i loved were the Mush and the Digital moment. I loved Mush because i love dogs! Also the Huskies were so cute. I liked the Digital Moment because the picture is so beautiful with the snow and the BigHorn Sheep!!

The picture that enjoyed the most was the one of Hajj. I liked that picture the most because its a pilgrimage Muslims must complete, in fact its the 5th pillar of Islam. My parents are completing the pilgrimage. they will be back on the 6th.

jessicahper1 said...

I think the picture with the boys covered in white dust working. I dont like it because they should be out playing with friends and going to school not working. The picture with the guy in the bears mouth looked so painful that I felt it. Also I didnt like the do not cross with the dead hand picture because it was a dead body and it was gross and wierd.

MonicaSp2 said...

I enjoyed viewing the pictures, they were very interesting. The cat sculpture and balloon messages were very cute. I feel so bad for the poor kids in Bangledesh that are forced to work instead of attend school. The kid in India was sad too, but seriously in my opinion India's always portrayed badly and its not all like that. These pictures were very nice.

Towoc P.2 said...

The one i felt most compelled to write about is the man who was murdered in the phillipines because of an election then covered by leaves. I found it interesting that there are different clans and they are killing each other over an election. That guy probably didn't deserve to die but just happened to be casting his vote at the qrong time. Also thats a pretty high death toll, 60 people so far.

Jessica F- P.2 said...

The picture that had the most effect on me was “Barely surviving”. A young child having to search for food in the garbage made me really sad. There are many people out there living luxurious lives right now, with more money than they need, while some people are struggling to find food. Looking at this picture made me wish I could help all of the people starving in the world.

The picture that effected me the most was number 6. Seeing the little boy from India picking up items from a dumpster that could be recycled to trade for money just to feed himself really moved me. This picture moved me the most 0because I hate to think that billions of kids live like this. It makes me realize how fortunate and lucky I am.

Ashley A - P.2 said...

I'd have to say that the photo named "And the Heavens Twinkled" had the most effect on me. If I were to see that scene in real life, I would look up in awe at how something could look so beautiful. The simplicity of the house and area surrounding it also has a sense of beauty to it. The photographer should be proud to have captured something so beautiful as this!

The picture that fascinated me the most was "And the heavens twinkled". It was really nice seeing a picture taken from such a nice view. It reminds me of when I was drinking hot chocolate on the porch of a ski chalet that I went to up north. I would really love to live there. It would be so peaceful and the best scenery I could think of!

My favorite photo was the first one. It fascinated me a lot because I thought it was completely fake. In class though Mrs. Santana told us that everything is real. It fascinated me because it looked like space was getting closer and closer. That picture was pretty cool I wish I could see that happen one day.

I liked the cat sculpture in the Ukraine. It looks like that cat is eating the two girls. The picture ouch made me laugh alittle. I am fascinated by the Wave of dread picture. The wave looks enormous compared to something as large as a lighthouse. I wonder how somebody could take a picture of that large of a wave without being consumed by it. Also, the position and lighting of the wave makes it seem unrealistic.
