We will be using this blog as another way to communicate with eachother... kind of like the class journals we tried. Or, the comments you post to your Facebook, My Space & Twitter. Many of you may already be professional bloggers, we'll see.
Let's just start from the beginning... for 'Blogging Assignments' in Language Arts, you will be asked to read my posts and the comments of your classmates and make your comment on a weekly basis. Each week I'll put my posts up by Monday and you have until Friday to comment for 10 points each. No comment = no points!

Ok, I go first! Being that I no longer watch scary movies, I'm kind of out of it. If you don't know, I'm a big chicken and scary movies give me nightmares... so I just don't do it to myself anymore. Thinking back to my braver days, I'd have to say that it's a tie between The Shining & Carrie as my favorite scary movies. Other than that, I love The Outsiders! I also love Toy Story and Scarface! Funny mix, huh?

Probably my favorite movie would have to be the halloween movies with Michael Myers because nobody ever knows when he will pop up to kill someone and that is why the halloween movies are my favorite scary movies
My favorite movie is Twilight. I love Twilight because I love the tense feeling. Also I love the characters. Overall I love movies with vampiers in them! SO HAPY HALLOWEEN TEAM 803!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
One of my favorite scary movies would have to be, Sorority Row. I absolutely loved that movie and I don't care for scary movies at all. I like this movie because; it was a mystery, and at the end when you find out who the mystery killer has been all along your so shocked! It's like you didn't even think it could of been that person.
I would have to say my all time favorite scary movie is Haunting in Connecticut. The movie was based on a true story and I thought it was suspenseful. I liked it because it was gross,for example, how they cut off the people's eye-lids and kept them in a box. They also kept all the dead bodies in the walls of the house, and that is why the house was haunted.
I watch paranormal activity it’s suppose to be really scary but I thought it wasn’t that bad I think it wasn’t scary at all The end was actually really stupid well that’s what I think about the movie.
My favorite scary movie has to be Paranormal Activity. This movie was suspenseful, and thrilling. Also, my favorite action,drama and comedy movies are The Bourne Series, Step Brothers, and The Patriot. I liked Step Brothers the most because I thought it was halarious and by far my favorite movie of all time.
I'd have to agree with Jessica H., Paranormal Activity was by far the scariest movie I have seen in my life. In my opinion, it is the best scary movie because it is very suspenseful and it keeps you on the edge of your chair most of the movie. My favorite comedy would be White Chicks. I think what makes it so funny are the two main actors, Shawn and Marlon Wayans. They are just hilarious! Last but not least, the best overall movie in my opinion is The Four Feathers. This movie stars Heath Ledger who passed away recently and is about a soldier who was scared to go into war and gets sent the four feathers of cowardness. There is obviously more to the story, but I don't want to ruin it for you so watch it!
First of all, I hate scary movies, but not scary books for some reason... So I'll just tell you some of my fav movies in the given categories. Well I like Titanic (classic but kinda, really depressing...), Stardust (I couldnt explain the movie in less than 50 words), hmmm Tin Man (Sci-Fi remake of the WIzard of Oz), and Twilight. Yah, I know what your thinking, Twilight? Well I'm not a crazy fan girl or anything, and I do like the books, and most of the time when watching the movie my friend Sarah and I just sit there laughing and criticizing it. Because, well lets be honest, the director butchered it! Whoa, that was a bit off topic... oh well.
My favorite movie would be Pinnaple Express. It's my favorite movie because it's the funiest movie in the world. Literaly every second of the movie i was laughing. It's about a drug dealer who witnesses a murder and the murderer see's him so they have to keep hiding through-out the movie and they're always getting high and stuff. I would suggest it to everyone, but it has A LOT of profanity. Well, that's it...
I don't really watch a lot of movies and I’m not a fan of scary movies because quite frankly I don't like to be scared, but my favorite kind of scary movie is "When the Stranger Calls". It's kind of old and it’s not that scary, but it gave me the chills. It's about a high-school babysitter that keeps getting calls saying things like, have you checked the kids lately. She soon finds out from the police that the calls are coming from inside the house. Anyways, my favorite comedy movie is "17 Again". I thought the movie was really funny but there were a lot of awkward parts, like when the mom and the guy who turned 17 who is really her husband were dancing and the son was like; umm your date is here mom. My favorite 'best overall movie' has to be (drum roll please) "Monsters Inc." Sad to say isn't it, considering I'm in the 8th grade and I still love a Disney movie, but it’s still the best movie to me.:)
Yeah, my favorite scary movie was paranormal activity, its so scary it makes you not sleep at night.I was brave seeing that movie. My favorite comedy was The Hangover its hillarious it was the funniest movie I have ever seen.The Hamgover might be the best comedy in the world.Now the best overall movie is spiderman 3 it was amazing and had a great story line. I just saw paranormal activity and thought it was amazing. It was about a couple with ghosts/demons in there house. My favorite movie of all time is The Notebook. Its about a rich girl and poor boy that fall in love. Drama is my favorite genre, so my favorite drama movie is Mean Girls. Its a dramatized version of the drama that goes on in highschool between girls.

Since I love being scared I would say that the first updated Haloween movie (Haloween) by Rob Zombie would be my favorite scary movie because it is set up perfectly. The main character Micheal Myers is a serial killer with a 12 in. blade(like Jason), and no matter what people try to do he can't die. So the main characters have to put thier life on the lines to finish him.
Now my favorite comedy movie would have to be Tropic Thunder. This movie is so hilarious.It's about actors filming a movie in the Vietnam woods and running into crazy obstacles. Also the comments they make in the movie are so funny that if I said them I would get in trouble.
My favorite overall movie would be Transformers 2 because it combines action and comedy. The action is about two types or robots (Deceptacons and the Autobots) in a war, and it's comedy part is how the characters react to what's going on and how some of the robots act like they are gangster (when they are not).
I personally love to wacth and experience scary movies. The reson is because I love to scare my self, and also to get that adrenalin felling that zizzles throught my body. I really want to see a new movie that had just came out in theaters, the movie is called (Paranormal Activity). People have said that this movie was the scariest movie ever made.

I agree with you, Mrs. Santana. I don't really watch scary movies often- comidies are more popular at my house. If I were to choose a scary movie, however, it would most likely be Halloween(The Movie). It's about the scariest movie (and only scary movie) I have ever seen. I love Wolverine 3 (Well.. pretty much all X-men movies),Horton Hear's a Who, and Across the Universe *I LOVE THE BEATLES* That movie is very, very awsome. That's all i can think of right now, but i'm sure there are more, especially since my favorite actors (Jim Carrey, Steve Carrel, Sandra Bullock, Ben Stiller, etc.)are in many, many movies. There always is!
My favorite scary movie is the Exorcist.When i first saw that movie i was so scared it freaked me out!I watched with my cousin and everytime it was quiet he would scare me, but it was a good movie.Everybody should see it.
Im not very interested in scary movies myself. But I have to say my favorite so far is the original Jaws. Pretty freaky how one ocean monster can do so much damage so easily, and I also liked the suspenseful music when Jaws is about to attack. But my favorite action movie has to be the first Transformers! The second one not so much, but it wasn't bad either.

Well thats a hard chocie but I am not a big fan of scary movies because I don't like to pay to get scared. And the hole action thing is'ent really my type thats more like my dad. So i will give u my top 3 funny movies. 1. anger management. I think this movie is extremely funny. 2. step brothers. Omg when I saw this movie was laughing from start to finish. 3. The scariest movie that I have seen recently is sorority row. It was scary because it was really suspensful.I couldnt watch half the movie though because it was really scary.
My favorite scariest movie i ever have seen was the stepfather. It was not that scary but it makes you jump with all the pop up seens and the killing of all the people. Everyone should go see this movie with friends so they can scare you the whole time. This move was a very good movie to watch espacially if you have a stepfather!
The scariest movies I have ever seen was the saw series they are very grusome.It makes you not want to look intense feeling makes you want to see how you die. Its hard to beleive how someone comes up with these kind of movies. It really does make you want to throwup.
Well, I don't really see horror stories so I don't really have a favorite horror story, but my favorite movie would have to be The Bourne Idenity. I love funny movies, such as Bed Time Stories, it was really funny, with the raining gumballs, and the kids pet, with the big eyes. Another movie of mine that I like is Twilight, but personally I like the book better, and I am so excited to see New Moon, hopefully it is much better.
I have to be honest; I do not like scary movies. The last scary movie that I remember seeing was Resident Evil and that kept me awake for several nights in a row. My favorite action movie would have to be Taken because it was suspenseful and well written. I’m sure most of you have never seen this movie but my favorite movie is Ladder 49 because it is an overall good movie. Happy Halloween!
My favorite scary movie would have to be "Signs". It was the first scary movie I watched and it still scares me. The part that scares me the most is when the alien walks in the room with main characters son in his arms and sprays a mysterious vapor in the little boy's nose. It's very creepy. My favorite drama is "Twilight". My favorite part of the movie is when Edward introduces Bella to his family. It's pretty funny. It is one of the only drama movies I like. I loved the book series and I love the movie! I cannot wait for November 20, 2009 (New Moon comes out). Last but not least my favorite overall movie has to be "Lord of the Rings: Return of the King". The movie is action packed and fast paced. It may seem like pretty dorky but it is not! It is an amazing movie! Watch it!
The best overall scary movie I saw was The Ruins or something like that. I think it is the best overall because it had alot of mystery. Like one time they didn't know what was killing the other people.

My favorite scary movie is Final Destination 3. It is pretty scary and cool. It has a lot of pop up scenes and also a lot of people die in it. At the end I thought it was a really cool movie. I think that people should see it if they like to get scared.
The scariest movie i have ever seen would be the Exorcism of Emily Rose. I find it scary because to her voice changes to a deeper one because of the demons and i hate the part where she starts counting "1,2,3,4,5,6" because the demons are saying their numbers and i just find it so scary.
I didn't really watch a scary movie in a while but one of my favorite scary movies is The Thing(although its pretty old). It was very suspenseful because no one knew who the alien was in the research station located in the Arctic.

Well my favorite movie for horror would have to be ZOMBIE LAND! The movie took place where humans were getting infected by the zombies people would be ripped apart and things around that. These four people who never really know one another are the stars of the movie they go by city names like 'Tallahassee'. In the movie they use all kinds of fire arms to a double-barrel, to an 'UZI' light-machine gun. Well, that is the movie I chose for this blog.
My favorite scary movie had to be The Last House on The Left. It isn't really that scary but the suspense is what got me on the edge of my seat. It's a must see if you haven't seen it yet. I don't have a favorite scary movie because I don't like scary movies. My mom calls me "Chicken Little". My favorite movie would have to be Across The Universe. I tend to like musicals of all kind. Comedies are fun too. My all time favorite would have to be Weekend at Bernie's. It's a crazy movie about two guys who were invited to their bosses house in the Hamptons and when they got there they found him dead. So they pretended he was alive so they could stay the weekend at his fancy home at the shore. They carry him around, take him boating and to the beach and not anybody noticed that he was dead. They even lost him a few times. Great to watch when you are feeling down, this will really cheer you up!!

What makes it the most suspenseful is knowing that the man who played the Joker, died in real-life due to nightmare pills.

Hmm my favorite scary movie would have to be between The Orphan and 28 Weeks Later. Both of those movies have a great plot and storyline, with enough suspense to really creep you out! my favorite comedy would have to be Zombieland, because it has great laughs and thrills. and last but not least, my favorite action movie would be iRobot with Will Smith. right now, the scariest movie ive seen recently has to be the movie "Zombieland". Zombieland is about when people start to get infected with this strange disease and starts becoming wild zombies that start attacking humans. So two months later, nearly all the people in America are zombies, one of the lone survivers, i think was nicknamed "Gorgia", runs into another surviver nicknamed "Tallahassee", who likes to go to the extreme. so these two survivers team up, run into two more survivers, and all this other crazy stuff happens.
My favorite scary movie is the stepfather!! I lova this move because it had suspance. It also had enexpected things happend that made me jump. I was also happy that the man that was killing the whloe family that he was with got away at the end!!! PHILT P1 My scarest movie has to be stayalive because it's about these seven friends playing a viedo game then once commitig to it there is no turning back. Their also a twist to the movie if you die in the game you die the same way in real life. O by the way the game plays by itself so be careful......... Done
Okay.So i pretty much love scary movies, I'm not the kinda to get scared very easily but i still find it fun to watch scary movies. My all time favorite movie would have to be Jennifer's body.I saw it one of the first days it came out with some of my friends. Megan fox is one of my favorite actors so it made it even better to watch. It was crazy, how some of the things she did, would kill most people but it did even hurt her.It was one of the best movies I have ever seen.:)

the last scary movie i watched was the hills have eyes.it was ok.there was some people in it that there faces were all messed up and it was all creepy.one part where the kids dad was on a tree and he was getting burned while inside their car the girls were dying and they had taken the baby.the dad got really mad so he went to go find them.
Ok, the last scary movie I saw was "Orphan" that movie was so scary. I saw it with my best friend Taylor and it got so scary we were holding each other during the movie, It was about a little girl named Ester who is an orphan and these two parents go to adopt her and it turns out she is a complete terror child.
Another scary movie that I LOVE is this Zombie movie that i saw with, Ash, Krissy, Ben, And ernest. It was so funny but so scary, It was about these two guys and the whole world is being infested with zmobies so they set out to kill the zombies, they also team up with an older girl and her little sister to kill the zombies.
I love scary movies, And these two are a MUST see.
the scariest movie i've ever seen was the happening. it's a sci-fi horrer, and it's about everyone in the world committing suicide. it's really scary because it travels through the air and you don't know where it'll strike next. people are struggling for survival, but in the end, you know you're gonna end up dead.

My favorite scary movie is Halloween 2 because of all the suspense and the way he kills everyone is crazy. My favorite funny movie is Forgetting Sarah Marshall because of all the hilarious songs they sing. My favorite overall movie would have to be the dark knight because it is very suspenseful. I haven’t seen that many scary movies, but one of my least favorites is Prom Night. It was suspenseful but very predictable and repetitive. One of my favorite comedy movies is The School of Rock. This movie is really funny and entertaining. My favorite overall movie is Seven Pounds. It has such a good plot and Will Smith is amazing in it!
My favorite scary movie is Halloween. I really like this movie because I love to be scared and a phyco maniac killer is awesome. My favorite action movie is Apocolypse Now, This is my favorite movie because it has alot of action and is really cool and its about the Vietnam War. My favorite comedy is Tropic Thunder. I dont like sary movies but I have to say my favorite movie was zombieland. I just love it because all one of the people want is a twinkie..... also there is a lot of tips in case of whatever happens in 2012. like if your gonna kill a zombie kill it twice or it will come back. But the part I hated the most is when there was a zombie CLOWN I turned away because 1 I hate clowns since I was 10. 2 because it makes the clown look even more freaky by making it look like a zombie but over all i could not stop laughing it was funny. Oh in the end the guy who wants a twinkine gets 1 im very happy for him XD
One of the scariest movies I have seen in the past couple of weeks was The Last House on the Left. This movie is so messed up because these guys take these girls and do horrible things to them. The girls were at their vacation house where her parents still are who have no idea. The people who did this things go to this house not knowing who lives there and need to stay there for the night. The parents find out what they did and the parents kill them all for revenge. Its a real suspenseful and gruesome movie but I suggest you see it.
Don't really watch movies because i'm more of the guy to go outside and play basketball or football, but i do have some favorite movies.I have to say that my favorite is the movie hangover. I think it's funny because of the inapprociate humor. Also I'm not the only one whi thinks it was hilarious i bet if you ask anyone else they'd say the same.

The Scariest movie ive seen this year would have to be The collector, a movie about this guy who brutally killed and tortured many people in this one house, i shouldnt sleep for weeks!
The best Action/Drama is Transformers 2, it was very good, im just not into action.

My favorite movie would be the mist. I love sacry cause you are never going to know what is going to happen next. Say if you see a dark hallway and go in and something graps ou and pulls you into a room and then you die. But the mist is about when the army bring creatures from another planet and they use a mist as cover cause when you go in you die or get pulled in by creatures that look like giant crabs or giant spiders or tenticlas that ripe your sick off if they touch you. But the worse part is when a woman think that she is gods angle and tell them that they need to kill people to please god and not kill her.I do like the way the creatures look like and what they can do to people and how they can move so fast.so try to watch the mist.

I love scary movies especially when people die. Halloween i guess you can say is my favorite. You know when your watching a movie and then somebody here's a noise coming from upstairs and there home alone and then they decide to go see what it is and were sitting there like what are you doing you are so stupid for going up there. But actually in reality when those things happen we do the same thing they would do in a movie. But if i had to pick a movie that is my favorite it would be four brothers.

For me scary movies , are creepy but at the same time awesome! My favorite scary movie would be Van helsing or inreview of the vampire.Other movies are star wars or saw 6 awesome movies .....I also like to watch funny movies like happy gilmore :)...
I think that the best scary movie is Paranormal Activity. Paranormal Activity is my favorite horror movie because it is terrifing and scares everyone who has seen it. I know if I had someone killing the people I love and also trying to kill me repeatedly on Halloween night, I would be scared out of my mind. Even though I want to be in a scary movie soo bad. haha

I dont like scary movies. Actually I HATE them. I get scared very easily thats why I don't watch it. I prefer to watch Romantic or Comedy movies. I love The Notebook, One night with the King, 17 again, and so much more that I just can't think of right now.

I never really watch scary movies. I have to say my favorite movie is the "Twlight". This movie is amazing and i can watch it non-stop! The way they tell the story and the way its acted out is pretty unbelievable. I cant wait for "New Moon" to come out.

This movie is also my favorite comedy because it has a lot of sarcastic parts like when the killer is trying to kill the girl and she acts like it is a joke. My favorite overall movie is Spiderman 3 because of its tie into spiderman 1.
I don't watch scary movies often. So, one movie I enjoyed was "Child's Play." Even though I didn't find it scary, I was laughing throughout the whole movie. My favorite scene of the movie is when the mom figures out that Chucky is a possessed doll. Happy Halloween.

I dont really like scary movies, but one that really horrified me till this day has to be "the ring" and the movie "the grudge".They are not really scary, but just like the look of them frightens me, and keeps me awake at night. but i do have a favorite comedy, and that has to be the movie i recently saw "couples retreat", it was soo halarious. I would deffenitley choose comedy's over scary movies.

the scariest movie that i've seen was saw.It was a scary movie to me because i don't see a lot of scary movie. But it had the basic scarys and even some pop scarys. So i still watch scary movies from time to time but i just avoide them.
Truthfully, I am not fond of movies and leastly scary ones. They give me nightmares and shivers so I usually don't bother.Recently, a movie called Paranormal Activity hit the theatres. I personally enjoyed it because it was really scary, but at the same time suspenseful.Paranormal Activity was extraodinarily thrilling and caught people off their seats.
The best action movie ever was GI Joe. The reason is that it was number in the box office for a couple weeks in a tow. My favorite movie is consitean it came out a long time a go.

The most scary movie I have ever seen would have to be Exorcist. I also like chucky.I think he is more in comedy than horror because a doll running around killing people is funny in my mind. I am also a big fan of all the saw movies but they can be gross at times. Also I like the moie pineapple exspress I think it is so funny.
