Take a look at MSNBC's Week in Pictures site. Your assignment is to choose your favorite picture and write at least three well-written, complete sentences describing it and why you chose it. Your comment is due by Friday, May 15th at 3:30 pm.

My favorite picture is the Balancing Act. I choose it because it shows a simple Chinese man on his bicycle and pedaling over a pothole which made him trip over. I think this is a great picture because of the timing of the picture while the Chinese man is in the middle of falling. I choose it because he is Chinese and he has an umbrella while riding a bike.
My favorite picture in the MSNBC's Week in Pictures site is picture number seven becasue it is sad that all what does young kids are going throuth right now having nothing to eat, being on the street, looking like pigs maybe not being able to take a chower in three to four week and us here throwing things away just because we just don't like them.
My favorite picture in the MSNBC's Week in Pictures site is picture number two "V is for Victory" because I love how a person brought back a little bit of history by throwing a signal flare. I wish I could see a real flare. And better yet light and throw one. Plus the picture is an amazing shot.
the picture i chose was is masked emotions. the name speaks for itself. its a picture of two people kissing with surgical masks on in Mexico. it just goes to show that people are taking the swine flu seriously. i truly think it isn't that dangerous and is like any other seasonal flu. the picture puts humor in real life.
Looking at all the pictures it was just breath taking. The each have such meaning to them. I liked the smoky retreat, holy water, in the minority, masked emotions, and remembering the quake victims. They all have an extreme meaning to them. I loved how they each expressed a life, a wonder, peoples jobs, religion. I love them.
I would have to say my favorite picture in the MSNBC's Week in Pictures site is picure number 11. Its my favorite b/c it shows how serious the swine flu is but the couple still manage to find a way to kiss. Also they are showing how hard it is to just kiss the one you love even if the other person has the flu or not.
My favorite picture is "Balancing Act". I like this picture I think it is hilarious that this photographer was just waiting for someone to fall in the pothole! I wish i was there to witness this man fall into the water off his bike and see the look on his face! HAHAHAHAHAHHA!!!!
my favorite picture is on failblog.org it shows a cemetary. And it shows graves.And it is funny because there is a sign that say playground area.So i thought is funny because it is a cemetary and it says that it's funny.
my favorite picture is the picture of my family because it all the poeple i like. the picture that i have was when we where in cnada with all my family. it was during a party for my uncle birth day and we can see that we add good time because we are all smilling and we all look happy. that was a really good picture of me and my familly.
My favorite picture is the L ine of Fire. Its my favorite one because it has a fire fighter on it and that is something I want to be when I grow up. Also I think that the picture is intense, with all of the flames and heat.
I chose the Russian firing the warning fire because that was a nice picture and that was a nice day on what happened. On May 9 WW2 ended. And that was a historical day. So that is the picture that was my favorite, the Russians have something to celebrate.
My favorite picture was the one where the two people are kissing with surgical masks on. That picture reminds me of my dads friend ho was sick and didnt want him to give it to us on the car ride to go hunting he wore a mask. When we went into a resturaunt he would take it off but i could not look at him without laughing.
Masked Emotions was my favorite picture! It was funny! I liked it cause like they were like kissing but still protecting themselves from the swine flu. I loved it! It hilarious.
My favorite picture is balencing act because the poor Chinese man about to fall with an umbrella in his hand. The fall isnt the funny part the umbrella. Its in perfect formation.
my favorite picture of the week is the couple in mexico kissing in surgical masks. i think its funny what pictures they take for the swine flu which i think is overated. i mean we are freaking out over nothing. there has been like only 7 cases of swine flu victems in the united states out of what a couple billion people that live here? its all just a bunch a propaganda.
I have 2 favorite pictures. The first 1 is In The Line Of Fire because my dad is a firefighter. My other favorite picture is Balancing Act because it IS pretty funny!
My favorite picture in the MSNBC'S week in pictures site is A Wall of Red. The reason why it is my favorite is because it is crazy. I think it is crazy because all these religions that kill these animales is just horriable thats why i like this one more.
The picture that I liked the most was picture number 3. I laughed when i saw it. I thought it is pretty ironic the go was holding the umbrella trying not to get wet, but fell face first into a puttle.

My favorite picture is the picture of the sinking of the USS Arizona. There were 1177 lives lost that day. The reason I like this picture is because it reminds me of all of the dead soldiers that risked their lives in order to keep us alive. Also it reminds me of World War II and how it was good that the United States got involved and stopped the Germans from winning the war and killing all of the Jewish people.
My favorite picture was V Is For Victory. I liked the clarity and well timming in the sun set when the historian took the picture. I also like how he exsperssed himself by fireing the rocket for WW2.
My favorite picture out of MSNBC was in the minority. Not only was it sad but that’s how people really live. A lot of the Americans really don’t have a heart and aren’t compassionate at all. We really need to think twice before we go to the mall and treat ourselves with a new pair of shoes.
My favorite picture in the MSNBC's Week in Pictures site is Smokey Retreat because it looks like the Earth is catching on fire. Also it shows that Israel defending it's territory. And most of all it looks cool how the tear gases full from the sky.
My favorite picture was the wrestle mania one. It looked really weird and the masks were random which is funny. Also because I did not really like the other pictures that were available.

My favorite was the signal flare the russia. You could see a bright flam of green just fly above your head. The picture was spectacular. That is the picture i loved the most.
My favorite picture is the "Remembering the quake victims" or the #12 picture. The picture expresses a lot of things. The earthquake brought death to 69,000 people but life still found way. The beautiful flower still found its way out of the millions of death. It survived. Like people say " life always goes on or life always finds a way". To me the blurry background represents the past and the clear flower the present. I think it is an wonderful picture.
My favorite picture is from Esher it is called the waterfall. It is an impossible picture. It looks like like the pathway is leading up but really it is the same height. Al though in the picture there is a water fall that flowing to what looks like lower part but it the same height.
I like the picture of the guy on the bike about to fall. i like it becuse i like how the person who took the picture go him rihgt befor he hit the ground.And it is cool how every thing looks like it froze in place just in time for the persion to take the picture.

They didn't care about to the flu for that moment and just showed their love for each other. Especially since it is in Mexico were they can die from it. I thought it was really sweet.
My favorite picture is the "Holy Water" I like this picture because its capture's the woman practicing her religion.I think it's a nice picture because you see the ripples in the water and her praying, as the ripples repersenting her hard ship's as what she's praying to make better in her life. It just leaves you thinking about her religion itself...
The picture that i liked the most was the balancing act. I think that it was the funniest of all the pictures. He must of gotten really wet when he fell because the water was pretty high.

Another funny thing is that the man on the bike was completely oblivious to the pothole. He probably got up all wet.
My favorite picture is holy water because it sorta reminds me of well me. Right now i feel alone like im drowningeverything is going down hill.I dont know if it will ever get better. Like some people wwould say i do not see the light at the end of the tunnel. As in this picture the person is also blue and this represents me also cause people always say when you are feeling sad or sick that you are feeling blue so. Out of tall the picture i like Holy Water the most.
My favorite picture is "Holy water". I really like this picture because even though it is so simple, it looks amazing. The Ganga river is considered sacred in Hinduisism and the picutre definatly looks sacred. The Hindu women looks like a spirit that has come to life. It's almost like the the photographer is saying that the spirits listen to your prayers.

One reason was because he had a guitar in his hands. this showed that he loved music. the second reason was because the two people still loved each other and would still show their emotions for each other even with masks in their way.
My favirote picture is the picture of the two people kissing because it shows you how people in Mexico are living. They have to adapt becuasee of the flu and wear gas mask. I feel bad for them. But they still show their emotions and they still show how much they love each other.
My Favorite picture is the one of the Holy water. #6. I think its really cool for a country to believe in hope. Its kinda weird for me to pick this picture because im Jewish, but I still think its a really cool picture.
The picture I chose is the first one because I come from California. All the wildfires that blaze through the state every year is horrible but ever since I moved here they have been getting more frequent. I wonder what that means for the state and the southern portion of California that deals with wildfires a lot of the time.
My favorite picture is the V for victory flare, because it lit the site in a green sky, like a gamma ray. Ive also always wanted to see a green object in the air, but not many get to see them.
My favorite picture for MSNBC's was the "Masked Emotion"! Because they still have there love even though they have masks on. I am just glad that the couple dosn't have the horrible flu. It reminds me of love is still in the air, considering the problem ,they still have <3
My favorite picture in MSNBC's week is Masked emotions because i think its so cute how they are having a hard time living in mexico because of the swine flu. but they can still show there love and affection through this hard time.
I liked the 8th picture "a wall of red" because I’ve seen allot of blood before because my dad works at a hospital but this is just amazing, it must of took allot of sheep to make have that much blood. My first I thought was that it was a lady in a prison camp that had executed their prisoners that were terrorists or soemthing like that.
my favorit picture was when the guy fell from the bicycle, i thought it was kind of halorius and i fell bad for him because i think that guy might have broke his bones and gone to the hospital.
My favorite picture out of MSNBC’s Week Pictures is 'Who dropped the ball?' because it’s funny but embarrassing at the same time. I would hate to be on the spotlight like that. It’s also very embarrassing because of where it landed, out of all the places. It could have been her leg or arm even, but unfortunately for her it was her lap. Then you see all these people laughing and starring at you, that is just horrible.
The MSNBC photo of the week that i like the most is the "wrestle mania" one. I like the photo the most because all of the other photos that they have are able to blend in with the crowd while the "wrestle mania" picture is very random. The photo album all of the sudden go from a "Smoky retreat" to two mexican wrestlers with man in a chicken mask doing a flying kick to a man in a bones costume's head.That to me is probally one of the funniest things that i have ever seen in my life. the other photos are funny but nothing can compare to "Wrestle mania".

My favorite picture is Masked emotions because no matter what happens around the world, there is always love. Pure love. It shows that as long as you have that, you'll never want to be separated from that special someone, because you know you'll feel empty and broken without them there.
My favorite picture would have to be masked emotions. It shows how although there is terror over the flu, people are going on with their normal lives. Another thing about this picture is I love the colors in it. It's so lively.
My favorite picture in the MSVBC's Week in pictures is the first one. I really like how all the bight colors of te fire all blend in together. Also the picture makes you feel like your standing right there next to the fireman. The main reason that I like this picture out of the 12 is because I was having computer problems, and the site didn't let me see the rest of the pictures.:)

I like the Balancing Act one because it is a good way to spread the news. I feel bad for the man who experienced the pot hole himself on a bike. I relized that if a photographer waited for the moment of the accident insted of warning people he took a picture of the man falling is pretty mean. The photographer says he waited to get the word to the goverment that there are potholes to be fixed.
I love picture 11, i think its so cute. I love it becuase it show that eve with sickness going around and everyone worried about getting like swine and other illness, there is still love in this world and thats all ou really need. It a really adorable picture<3

I think the picture of the fires in Santa Barba California is horrifying. I cant bare to see your own home going up in flames, and there is very little you can do about it. Firefighters may try to get it out but therei sto much wind to move the fire around.

In the minority is my favorite picture because i think i makes me be thankful for what they have. when i seen tis picture i felt so gilty for not thinki about other people. i feel horible fr them kids. i believe that no one should have to live that whay, NO ONE. them poor inisent kids did nothing wrong and are living thinking am i going to be ok tomorrow. i really wish we could find a great home for that little boy i wish he could no what its like to llive with money and clean close. i wish we would stand up for them kids and help them.

As in this picture the person is also blue and this represents me also cause people always say when you are feeling sad or sick that you are feeling blue so. Out of tall the picture i like Holy Water the most.
My favorite picture is "Holy water". I really like this picture because even though it is so simple, it looks amazing. The Ganga river is considered sacred in Hinduisism and the picutre definatly looks sacred. The Hindu women looks like a spirit that has come to life. It's almost like the the photographer is saying that the spirits listen to your prayers.
my favorite was the picture of the two people kissing with masks on. One reason was because he had a guitar in his hands. this showed that he loved music. the second reason was because the two people still loved each other and would still show their emotions for each other even with masks in their way.
My favirote picture is the picture of the two people kissing because it shows you how people in Mexico are living. They have to adapt becuasee of the flu and wear gas mask. I feel bad for them. But they still show their emotions and they still show how much they love each other.
My Favorite picture is the one of the Holy water. #6. I think its really cool for a country to believe in hope. Its kinda weird for me to pick this picture because im Jewish, but I still think its a really cool picture.
The picture I chose is the first one because I come from California. All the wildfires that blaze through the state every year is horrible but ever since I moved here they have been getting more frequent. I wonder what that means for the state and the southern portion of California that deals with wildfires a lot of the time.
My favorite picture is the V for victory flare, because it lit the site in a green sky, like a gamma ray. Ive also always wanted to see a green object in the air, but not many get to see them.
My favorite picture for MSNBC's was the "Masked Emotion"! Because they still have there love even though they have masks on. I am just glad that the couple dosn't have the horrible flu. It reminds me of love is still in the air, considering the problem ,they still have <3
My favorite picture in MSNBC's week is Masked emotions because i think its so cute how they are having a hard time living in mexico because of the swine flu. but they can still show there love and affection through this hard time.
I liked the 8th picture "a wall of red" because I’ve seen allot of blood before because my dad works at a hospital but this is just amazing, it must of took allot of sheep to make have that much blood. My first I thought was that it was a lady in a prison camp that had executed their prisoners that were terrorists or soemthing like that.
my favorit picture was when the guy fell from the bicycle, i thought it was kind of halorius and i fell bad for him because i think that guy might have broke his bones and gone to the hospital.
My favorite picture out of MSNBC’s Week Pictures is 'Who dropped the ball?' because it’s funny but embarrassing at the same time. I would hate to be on the spotlight like that. It’s also very embarrassing because of where it landed, out of all the places. It could have been her leg or arm even, but unfortunately for her it was her lap. Then you see all these people laughing and starring at you, that is just horrible.
The MSNBC photo of the week that i like the most is the "wrestle mania" one. I like the photo the most because all of the other photos that they have are able to blend in with the crowd while the "wrestle mania" picture is very random. The photo album all of the sudden go from a "Smoky retreat" to two mexican wrestlers with man in a chicken mask doing a flying kick to a man in a bones costume's head.That to me is probally one of the funniest things that i have ever seen in my life. the other photos are funny but nothing can compare to "Wrestle mania".

My favorite picture is Masked emotions because no matter what happens around the world, there is always love. Pure love. It shows that as long as you have that, you'll never want to be separated from that special someone, because you know you'll feel empty and broken without them there.
My favorite picture would have to be masked emotions. It shows how although there is terror over the flu, people are going on with their normal lives. Another thing about this picture is I love the colors in it. It's so lively.

My favorite picture in the MSVBC's Week in pictures is the first one. I really like how all the bight colors of te fire all blend in together. Also the picture makes you feel like your standing right there next to the fireman. The main reason that I like this picture out of the 12 is because I was having computer problems, and the site didn't let me see the rest of the pictures.:)

My favorite picture in the MSNBS's week in picture is the balancing act. You don't see people riding on a bike and fliping over a pothole holding an umbrella in the rain everyday. Thats a real hard piture to capture because its in the middle of his fall.
I like the Balancing Act one because it is a good way to spread the news. I feel bad for the man who experienced the pot hole himself on a bike. I relized that if a photographer waited for the moment of the accident insted of warning people he took a picture of the man falling is pretty mean. The photographer says he waited to get the word to the goverment that there are potholes to be fixed.
I love picture 11, i think its so cute. I love it becuase it show that eve with sickness going around and everyone worried about getting like swine and other illness, there is still love in this world and thats all ou really need. It a really adorable picture<3
Out of the 12 pictures, the two pictures i really like is first the "V is for Victory" its amazing how they made that V for the victory they had and also I love how a person brought back a little bit of history by throwing a signal flare.. The second picture is "Balancing act" a guy riding a bike in the rain with a umbrella and he falls in a puddle
My favorite picture is 3, the one with the asian man falling off the bike. It was hilarious to look at. An everytime i looked at it i started to laugh. An the person who took it took the picture perfect.

There were 1177 lives lost that day. The reason I like this picture is because it reminds me of all of the dead soldiers that risked their lives in order to keep us alive.
I think the picture of the fires in Santa Barba California is horrifying. I cant bare to see your own home going up in flames, and there is very little you can do about it. Firefighters may try to get it out but therei sto much wind to move the fire around.
